Here’s how I got the title of Little Town, Great Big Life: I am a fan of the country music duo Sugarland. On one of our long driving trips back home to Oklahoma from Alabama, I heard the Sugarland song, Everyday America. That’s just what I write! Oh, I fell in love with that song. Picture me, passenger seat of the pickup, holding the pretend microphone in front of my mouth and singing along with the chorus: “Little town and a great big life.” It just stuck in my head, and I played Sugarland during the time I wrote the book. I still love their music and am suddenly reminded to play it while writing.
A final giveaway for the final book of the Valentine series–Little Town, Great Big Life and a mass-market copy of Cold Tea on a Hot Day. Just leave a comment on this post. The winner will be chosen at random, and I’ll post the name on Monday.
(I tried to insert the YouTube video of the song, but nothing is happening. Great big life must go on…)
Enjoy your great big life today!

Ohhh, I LOVE Sugarland and “Everyday Life”. I played two Sugarland CD’s for most of my three day each way trip to Texas. Sang “Keep You” at the top of my lungs I don’t know how many times, and “Take Me As I Am” and “It Happens” are still running through my brain.
They will be at Cheyenne Frontier Days on 30 July. Haven’t bought tickets ’cause I’m not sure if the DH will be here. He isn’t a fan, but would take me anyway. Do you wanna fly up here and go with me?
Missed your last 2 contests. We were visiting the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone NP.
You know I can’t wait to read this book.

I grew up in a Little Town “Bemis, Tn”What a great little mill town it was to grow up in, so sad the mill is now closed.
Wonderful memories and they still hold “Bemis Days” I am enjoying a Great Big Life, I am retiring after working for 35 years in County Government. Loved my job but I am looking forwarding to the next leg of my journey. I can’t wait to see what the Good Lord has in store for me.

Thanks so much for the chance to win! I love Sugarland, have all of their cd’s and we’ve seen them in concert a couple of times. I love that about the title of your newest book coming from one of their songs.

I have your Love In A Small Town on my keeper shelf! And just did a review of Sweet Dreams at the Goodnight Motel on my blog. I would love to add a review for Little Town, Great Big Life. I missed Cold Tea on a Hot Day and would be so ecstatic about getting it, too!
Sugarland is coming close to our town (Bossier City) around Father’s Day and that’s what my DH is getting–of course, I’m getting two tickets so I can go with him. Great gift, huh? LOL
