I’ll Know When I Get There

What a soft, paradise morning! Storms were predicted last night, didn’t happen, only a sprinkle. We do need rain, so I hope for some today. There are pesky gnats on the porch this morning, it is that warm. Low crickets and distant roosters calling in the dark the only sounds.

Well, it is official; I’ve given up pursuit of a new car. I’ve arrived at the decision to fix the bugs on my current SUV and wait for clarity. I simply felt too tired of the effort. I am not by nature given to clear thinking, so I have to wait for it to arrive.

Now I’m putting my efforts into finding my way. I’m very much like my character Rainy in LOST HIGHWAYS–of course I’m very much like a lot of characters in my books. Rainey says at one point: “I don’t know where I’m going, but I’ll know when I get there.” Maybe all we need to know, or even get to know, and to choose, is the direction toward what seems good. It truly is about the journey, not the destination.

Have a lovely day!
