Just popping in to wish each of you, reading friends, a very happy Thanksgiving. Aren’ we blessed to have this thanks-giving tradition? A friend of mine says she loves the day because there’s so much food, no one cares if it’s cooked correctly or not, and there’s no presents to buy and wrap, and it’s okay not to decorate.
I’ll have a full table today, and yes, I’ll be tired, but I’ve learned a few tricks to make it easier on myself (the only one cooking!). I’ll be very happy to be surrounded by family. Whether your Thanksgiving is robust or quiet, I wish you contentment and the sweetness of a grateful heart.
Two gifts I send today in the form of these wise quotes:
To be alive, to be able to see, to walk, to have a home…friends–it’s all a miracle. I have adopted the technique of living life from miracle to miracle. ~ Arthur Rubenstein
I have sometimes been wildly, despairingly, acutely miserable … but through it all I still know quite certainly that just to be alive is a grand thing. ~ Agatha Christie.
Thank You for sharing, CurtissAnn. I’m doing the cooking today. Must go baste the bird.
Happy Turkey Day,

We who do the cooking can rest in the afternoon and the entire next day! Happy Thanksgiving.
