Gone Camping

I sit this morning along the bank of the Tombigbee River. There is a faint breeze caressing my face.

One of my most favorite things, maybe my very favorite thing, is to step out into early morning. I like it before the sun comes, when dawn is just hinting. An old term for this time a day is the blue hour. There is such a magic of life at that time. The air is different. It is moist and fresh and filled with an expectation of good things.

I think as writing practice I’ll work on describing what I see and feel in the early morning magic.

  1. Good Morning Before reaching your article this morning I read another one about of all things….mosquitos.  They’re becoming a danger.Hope you and all your friends take caution.. The place by the riverlooks terrific…wish I could share the experience since I miss camping. Oh forgot….mosquitos like the colors black and red…and don’t likewhite and green.     • Thank you for the tip about the colors with mosquitoes. You know Mississippi and Alabama have a lot of mosquitoes. Tonight I was dressed in white, I’ll keep trying that.
