Ready or Not

Good morning! Wow, it is sure staying dark longer. Glad that it is still a warm morning, and I would say by the crickets, still going to be hot today, because I’d like a few more dips in the pool before summer’s end.

There–the sky grows lighter. One bird sings out loud. I suddenly think of the child’s tune, when playing hide and seek: “Ready or not, here I come!” I guess we have to do our best to live ready, and the only way I can think of to do that is prayer.
