Back on November the first, a reminder popped up on my email for me to begin getting ready for Advent. All those weeks, and when the first day of Advent came yesterday, I had done, well, nothing. Doesn’t matter. I was ready in Spirit. And today turned out to be the perfect day to begin getting out decorations. Dear Husband put the Christmas flag out, while my dear granddaughter, Precious Grace, and I clapped. Later, I brought down my favorite centerpiece to spiff it up a bit–straighten the crunched ribbon, put in new, shiny artificial decorations, and a sparkly candle. When Precious Grace heard the excitement in my voice, she wanted to help, and then Dear Son was here and could get the candle set in place when we girls could not get the job done. I made a memory with son and granddaughter to press into my heart.
It is the time again for giving away a copy of my book Miracle On I-40. Simply leave a comment, and the winner will be chosen at random on Saturday, December 4th.
I have also decided to offer copies of Miracle On I-40 for sale. This decision came from the number of times I’ve been asked about my back list titles, and from seeing how many of my books are for sale on Amazon and eBay. These are brand new copies, fresh out of the storage boxes. Click here or on the Back List for Sale tab above for more information.
I remember years ago when my editor called to ask if I would like to write a special Christmas story for them. I said, “Oh, yes! Christmas is my favorite time!” And the editor replied in a rather knowing tone, “I had a feeling it was.”
I haven’t read this particular book but would love to. Reading is such a stress reliever and a great escape from all the holiday pressures. Thank you!

A couple of nights ago I reached into my bookcase for a book to read and pulled out” Lost Highways”. I didn’t remember reading it and immediately started enjoying it and wondered how I had missed it. However, towards the middle of the book I started remembering that I had in fact read it a long time ago. So now I have FOUND the Valentine Series and can’t wait to read them all and anything else you have written. I got “Last Chance Cafe” from the Library today. I would love to win your Christmas Novel. Merry Christmas to everyone and Happy New Year!!!

Gosh. I just checked the bookcase and counted seven of your books. How did I miss this one? I would love to win. Please enter me in the contest. By the way I am now on #935 of my personal favorite things list. #929 is long handled back scratchers – how goofy is that one? Are you keeping a list?

How very cool–too keep a running number of things you love throughout your life. I must start again! Although, my mind is such that I know I’ll repeat without knowing, or reading back. 🙂 As for long-handled back scratchers–oh, must put on my list, too! I have a telescoping one in the pencil holder on my desk. My mother had a beloved plastic one that belonged to my grandfather! Warm wishes, Linda~ CurtissAnn

Don’t worry about leaving a duplicate “favorite” I figure that just means I REALLY like it. Once you have a hundred or so written down just reading the book makes you smile. I promise.
Merry Christmas CurtissAnn

My friends, I’m delighted you have visited and entered the drawing. It is fun to hear from each of you, and helps us all to draw close to one another at this time of year, both joyful and, as Judy said, bittersweet with memories of loved ones not here with us. I have one of my dear Big Mama’s Christmas pillows on my reading chair, feel her presence, miss her terribly.
Hugs,

This time of year is especially hard for those of us who have lost loved ones, but truly, reading a good book in which one can get lost, is a major help for me. Blessings to you and yours, Judy
