Doors of Welcome for Fall

I’m excited to join in with the Doors of Welcome series generously hosted by Karen at Some Days Are Diamonds. Frankly, one of the things I love best about my new home is the antique door.

I was looking at Michael’s for organizational baskets, when I came upon this one. I remembered there was already a small nail in the door. I snatched up the basket, found the box containing my faux (fancy word for fake) fall flowers, and wa-la! I am not one for spending a lot of time.

In her advancing age my housecat Fancy is getting daring and stepping out into uncharted territory.  Just like me.

Do drop over to Some Days Are Diamonds to visit the other participants of Doors of Welcome for Fall.

  1. This is a wonderful idea. I like how your door looks so much like mine except that I have regular leaded panes, and yours is like Tiffany glass. Your welcome mat is definitely out. Did I tell you we got a new gray kitten and baby chicks? We are all stepping out. Love you.~~Dee

  2. Hello Cutiss Ann,

I like it. And it can be stored and reused again. But maybe the basket will have to stay in the door and you get to decorate it depending on the season or occasion 🙂 Look at Fancy cautiously coming out. 🙂

(been out for quite a while but sure am glad visitng again 🙂 )

  3. You have the most beautiful stained glass in that antique door! The light coming through it must be a rainbow of beauty! I love the photo of Fancy, I’d have to print and frame that ~ yeah, I have waaaay too many pet photos!

  4. Oh I love the door too! It is stunning!
And not to leave out the kitty – she is stunning too!
Very inviting! Very festive! Very fun!
    Thanks for joining in!
