Christmas e-Books on Sale

It’s that time of year again–time for heartwarming Christmas stories. Hoorah! I love them. Both e-book versions of Miracle on I-40 and Christmas Comes to Valentine are sale priced now through Monday.

I originally wrote this story for a Harlequin anthology way back at the beginning of my writing career. At that time my son worked for a big-truck repair shop, and I was able to get inside the cab of a big Peterbilt to learn what they were like.

Fast-forward to today, and my son owns a big-truck repair shop. Recently I had the opportunity to go with my grandson and get inside the cab of one of today’s big trucks. They haven’t changed much, even if they are high-tech. My grandson laughed, observing, “Nana, you can stand all the way up and not even bend.”

“Another Christmas and Miracles story but I still couldn’t put it down. You won’t want to either.” ~ Amazon Reviewer

Book #5 in the Valentine Series. This is Corrine’s story, but we see all the adults of Valentine through her eyes. I loved writing the story, as I often saw the absurdity of adult humans when viewed through the clearer eyes of a child on the verge of womanhood, trying to make sense of the world.

Also, as a child, and even a grown woman, I adored horses.

Christmas Comes to Valentine is available in print only through Amazon. Perfect for gift-giving!

“With gentle humor and well-drawn characters, Matlock reveals the hearts and minds of people of all ages who struggle to live good lives and love their neighbors, especially at Christmas.” ~ Amazon review

This morning I spoke with a friend, and we both remarked with surprise that Thanksgiving is next week! It is, as Marilee from Valentine says, like a shot has been fired to open the season. Yes, the entire world goes a little crazy in a good way at this time of year, which is why we all rush it into being, but let’s not rush so fast that we miss it.

Enjoy each minute of the joys of a thankful and loving season. In some cases–okay, in a lot of cases–we will need to choose to enjoy. And it is perfectly fine to do this through gritted teeth if that’s what it takes. If at times we can’t enjoy, we can choose acceptance of what is, and acceptance brings a magical peace to the heart.

Grace and peace,

Thoughts? Don’t keep them to yourself. Love to hear!
