Every Flower is to Bloom — GBBD

Our ‘High Hopes’ has burst into full bloom! As I write this, my office is heavy with the scent of ligustrum, bringing memories of childhood and answered prayers. Everything, by my calculation is a month early for our USA 8b zone on the Gulf Coast. My dear husband says that maybe this is not early but normal, since our first two full years here were extra cold and dry. My sincere thanks to Carol at May Dreams Gardens for continuing to host Garden Bloggers Bloom Day, and everyone who participates and inspires.

It’s so clear that you have to cherish everyone. I think that’s what I get from these older black women, that every soul is to be cherished, that every flower Is to bloom. ~ Alice Walker

  1. Curtiss Ann, it is so lovely there. We’ve had rain so it’s lovely here too. So green and verdant. We are super fine, but as we talked on the phone, six in Oklahoma died in the tornadoes. Love you.~~Dee

    • I’m grateful for our rain, but somehow greedy for more. The past few years of drought here a surprise. I actually watch the sky these days in hope of rain and no storms.

It’s Monday morning, I can think of no better way to start anyone’s day than with your beautiful visuals, so you are my Guest blogger on Napkinwriter today. 3. I looked back to last year and 2010. I think last year’s blooms were only days later and 2010 much later which kind of backs up your husband’s theory.
