I’m excited to join in with the Doors of Welcome series generously hosted by Karen at Some Days Are Diamonds. Frankly, one of the things I love best about my new home is the antique door.
I was looking at Michael’s for organizational baskets, when I came upon this one. I remembered there was already a small nail in the door. I snatched up the basket, found the box containing my faux (fancy word for fake) fall flowers, and wa-la! I am not one for spending a lot of time.
In her advancing age my housecat Fancy is getting daring and stepping out into uncharted territory. Just like me.
Do drop over to Some Days Are Diamonds to visit the other participants of Doors of Welcome for Fall.

This is a wonderful idea. I like how your door looks so much like mine except that I have regular leaded panes, and yours is like Tiffany glass. Your welcome mat is definitely out. Did I tell you we got a new gray kitten and baby chicks? We are all stepping out. Love you.~~Dee

Hello Cutiss Ann,
I like it. And it can be stored and reused again. But maybe the basket will have to stay in the door and you get to decorate it depending on the season or occasion 🙂 Look at Fancy cautiously coming out. 🙂

What a gorgeous door! With a door that beautiful, you don’t need a lot to make it any more welcoming. Your basket looks fantastic and the hay bale, pumpkin and flower vignettes look great. Thanks for sharing.

What a beautiful door. How old is your home?
I love older homes – our’s is a Sear House from 1916.

I’m not going to be able to do this party, because my old camera played out and my new camera isn’t in yet. I love that door with the stained glass. Sooo beautiful!
